Firefly, Survivorman, Burn Notice, among others. Most of the recent animated shows I watched (Justice League Unlimited, Teen Titans, Avatar: The Last Airbender) have gone off the air.

Current show: I like "Heroes" -- it's nice, light entertainment.
I adore "Northern Exposure"! I haven't gotten to see it in so long. Someday I WILL buy the whole series, I swear it!

Currently, I love "The Closer", "NCIS", "Criminal Minds", "30 Rock", "The Big Bang Theory", "How I Met Your Mother", "Burn Notice", "In Plain Sight." It probably sounds like all I do is watch T.V., but it only comes to about an hour a night. I find it very relaxing to be absorbed in a story after a stressful day at work (I'm a teacher).

    "Jeopardy!" Very informative.

"Dr. Who" is an amazing TV show. PBS offers good educational shows, also.

"Charmed" is a pretty good TV show about 3 "white" witches-filmed in San Francisco,California.

I hardly ever watch TV, but I like Jeopardy, too. When I guess correctly, it makes me feel smart...haha

I saw many TV series on DVD - House, Monty Python, 40 Something, and lots of mini-series, documentaries. I would like to see Twin Peaks and Northern Exposure again on DVD. I own a lot of shows on DVD from the 60's and 70's. I just love those those old sitcoms - they are scream to watch now. I adored The Twilight Zone - expensive to buy now on DVD's. The old Hitchcock TV Show episodes I have seen on DVD (some of them at least) - they were just great!

I'm a huge fan of NCIS

brilliant dialogue! Love the one-liners. I'm laughing through the whole show. oh, the stories are great too.

"But do you really, seriously, Major Scobie," Dr. Sykes asked, "believe in hell?"
    "Oh, yes, I do."
    "In flames and torment?"
"Perhaps not quite that. They tell us it may be a permanent sense of loss."
"That sort of hell wouldn't worry me," Fellowes said.
"Perhaps you've never lost anything of importance," Scobie said.

Lost, SYTYCD, Weeds, crappy reality tv shows, Northern Exposure, Twin Peaks, The Office.

I'm always looking for new series to watch, anyone got any good suggestions?

EDIT: Janine, wow you like Twin Peaks AND Northern Exposure, those are my two fav shows of all time. Good taste! Know of any shows nowadays that are as good as those? I got into Lost because the writers of Lost were primarily inspired by Twin Peaks. I think you'd like Lost, as it's like Twin Peaks but more science-fictiony. Also, all of the Twilight Zone is available now at cbs.com (best sci-fi show of all time)

Really? Is it being broadcasted again through the CBS site? I could only get to watch Season 1

I'm curious too, what is SYTYCD?

I'm a fan of Medium, which switched networks, now on CBS. And I love The Daily Show and The Colbert Report, both very funny. Dexter is very good too, but I can't watch the HBO version because it's more graphic.
