    Scowl For Wolf Larsen

    Without a price tag,
    a god-Poet
    kissed the verbs,
    caressed the nouns,
    SMASHed TO PIECES:
the poem became a car crash.
(rhyme should be castrated at once!)

    Castrated penis,
    a pen,
    a vagina,
    an inkwell(?).

    Human Body Parts
    Talking to Each Other
    in the Refrigerator
    Orgy! Orgy! Orgy!
    Eat the audience!
    ORGY! ORGY! ORGY!

    AIDS!
(rhyme should be castrated at once!)

    Take the blood and semen,
    urinate on their doorsteps,
and never use the same toilet bowl twice!

*Logos, a Lit-Net moderator, did not edit any section of this poem. Her name and statement were used as an artistic device to capture that which is a Wolf Larsen thread.

Nice. What's brought on this sudden attack of poetics?

What ever happened to Wolf? But you captured him well.

Thanks. I appreciate people who make me laugh, for whatever reason, so this is more of a remembering Wolf poem than an attack on poetics. I don't think Wolf kept up with literature and that's why he attacked it so much. He was too busy with Breton to realize there were writers like Beckett, Robbe-Grillet, Barthelme, Perec etc.

Whatever the quality of his work, I'm just glad he has writing as an outlet.

It seems wolf has his own website and, if we can believe it, has sold at least two books which have been reviewed. The reviews are what you might expect.

Wolf is doing it his way, and that is the project of art.

    Bam!

I was like blp, wondering what the sudden attack was all about.

But anyhow, about that Larsen book, I guess each to his own....

The guy is passionate and I admire that. I'm not sure if his work will be read, but I would definitely read a book written about him. He has the stuff of a protagonist.

I looked through the reviewers history and the commented on a lot of underground stuff and it's good to know people are giving new writers a chance on amazon. I mean the reviewer had to read the excerpt before the purchase.

I didn't know of Wolf Larson until now, but I'm glad I do now.

I enjoyed the poem, which doesn't totaly need a Larsonist to appreciate the fire.

    I should be Larsen's publicist.

    Thanks.

I don't think anybody could as big a fan as Larsen himself, but I'm always happy to help others find writers they may enjoy, whether or not I enjoy him myself.

Someone said, on one of his threads, if you've read one of his works you've read them all and I ... totally agree.

He was once a Lit-Net member Larsen's Threads

He has his moments where he can put two words together and provoke an image, but there a few moments of that. His excessive use of 'I's, 'you's and 'then's impede any momentum he may have achieved. He needs editor ... and substance. He has good intentions, I think, but his 'revolution' gets in his way. Most of his work is like Gregor Samsa waking to find himself transformed into a poem.

I'm curious to see what you think of his other works, there's a link in this post.

I agree that Wolf is definitely a character, but from what I saw of him he really tried going for broke with his writing and was very serious about the craft in trying to say something new and different. And what is this speel above about him "needing editor" and "excessive use of I's" and "impeding any momentum"? I do see you're trying to tone it down but it's still all done in that smiling-elbowing-the-next-guy-haha-presumptuous way. And from what I've seen of your work you have your own writing problems. We all do. I think you're making a mockery out the guy, first with your poem and now the follow-up commentary. I just don't think he'd appreciate it or you'd appreciate it if I did it to you.
