    The Lovers

    The Lovers

    She
    watched the
    shadows pass
    as the rain fell
    listening to sad songs
    play on the radio
    slipping into her sorrow
    forever lost in emptiness
    the darkness encroaches, closing in
her eyes close bit by bit, her breath escapes
while on a distant plain far far away
the sadness fell like a guillotine
a splash of blood stains the marble
vacant eyes stare to the sky
    forever a starless night
    no more words spoken
    worlds apart
    and yet so
    close is
    He

Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before. ~ Edgar Allan Poe

    Amazing......

It profoundly describes the feeling of longing and love

    good job
Love is an un tamed force. When we try to control it, it desrtoys us. When we try to imprison it, it enslaves us. When we try to understand it, it leaves us feeling lost and confused

wow! this is a total "wow"! I really admire the way you wrote this DM. profound yet striking.. Another exquisite poem it really is.

"The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in mind at the same time and still retain the ability to function. One should, for example, be able to see that things are hopeless and yet be determined to make them otherwise."

gently sad, and the shape of the poem very like a drop of water. A teardrop perhaps? very sad.
