help cant remember the title of 2 books

I read 2 books about 7 years ago and I would like to get my hands on them if you could help then it would be much appreciated.

The first one had a sadistic man that had encounters with different women. Where he would cause them extreme pleasure until it hurt while being very controlling. and a woman in college that was extremely intelligent and would manipulate people until some one died. I remember bits a pieces of some of the man's encounters if this information would help then let me know.

The second is a series of books about a man that is drawn into a war between heaven and hell. Where satin worshipers start showing up in mass and many people are converted. a very old family of satin worshipers are trying to recruit this guy but he resists and ends up working with a Jewish man to create a golem to help in the fight of good vs evil and the angel Michael ends up working along side the man in the ending battle.
