    Anthony Trollope

I just watched "He Knew He Was Right" on PBS television.

    Here are two interesting links

    http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/masterpiece/.../trollope.html

The Gutenberg Project has free download of "He Knew He Was Right" plus many other novels by Trollope.

    His biography is interesting.

He seems to have been neglected by academia over the years. You will not find anything about Trollope at sparknotes.com

Yeah, I hadn't heard of him until I travelled to Britain and saw a lot of his books in British bookstores. Not sure why his name isn't very recognizable over here, especially after persusing your links and seeing an American great like Hawthorne had very complimentary things to say about his books.
