a drum hollowed out
lost of sound
sealed closed
Emptied--
a vessel unearthed
old bones
dead eyes
Emptied--
a pysanky egg
blown glass
winter wind
all the same
Emptied--
stale plates
flattened out
drifting away
Emptied--
just a shell
a ball of air
dissected
rejected
Emptied--
no more words
no more thoughts
not a sound
Emptied--
silenced
with a dull thunk
echo in the mind
