    Everything is broken

Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before. ~ Edgar Allan Poe

When asked how World War III would be fought, Einstein replied that he didn't know. But he knew how World War IV would be fought: With sticks and stones.

    I am honored, Miss.
Your poem dropped in as I was busy replying to a science forum, hence the idea
of ''joining'' through a 'scientific means' struck my mind in response to the brokenness.

Please cheer up....life is just so...take it on its face value or just blow the brains out of it!!
    Keep smiling!!

here's where i was and wonder if you too would like to be there for a change!!

Haha I have to admit the science has never been one of my strong suits. I am far too irrational

    Ain't no use jiving
    Ain't no use joking
    Everything is broken.

    Broken bottles broken plates
    Broken switches broken gates
    Broken dishes broken parts
Streets are filled with broken hearts
Broken words never meant to be spoken
    Everything is broken.

Seem like every time you stop and turn around
Something else just hit the ground
    Broken cutters broken saws
    Broken buckles broken laws
    Broken bodies broken bones
    Broken voices on broken phones
Take a deep breath feel like you're chokin'
    Everything is broken.

Everytime you leave and go off someplace
Things fall to pieces in my face
    Broken hands on broken ploughs
    Broken treaties broken vows
    Broken pipes broken tools
    People bending broken rules
    Hound dog howling bullfrog croaking
    Everything is broken.

    Into the nothingness.
I sang of leaves, of leaves of gold, and leaves of gold there grew.
