    Kristin Lavransdatter

I finished Sigrid Undset's Kristin Lavransdatter a few days ago, and now that I've had a little time to digest, I've come to realize that it was a really, really good book. As it should be, since Undset won the Nobel Prize for it. Throughout the month I spent hauling its 1100-page bulk around, though, answering the question "What are you reading?" many, many times, I didn't come across anyone who had heard of it. Is there anyone out there who has heard of Kristin Lavransdatter?

They are but broken lights of thee,

By the way regarding Undsets legacy. Sigrid Undset is pictured on the 500- Norwegian Kroner bill/note
