    the book of love

    The book of love

    My muse is dead
There is a hole in my heart from where she broke free
Now whose strings does she play as a lyre
    Such a sad sweet melody
And now I am lost to the sun
    Lost in her memory
And the book of love has been torn and burnt
Now there is beauty on the breeze
That cannot stain the velvet sky
For the wind was intended to be free
And the dove carries it of to sea
And we are left to wallow in what could be

My heart is broken and there’s no repair
I’ve read every religion but none seem to care
I lit a candle behind your eyes
As I gaze at you in the flickering light
And run my hand down your thigh
But the ash on the wind catches in the fire
And sets alight the book of love
That I tore with my tears
Every night since you broke free

So touch me please and let me start a new
A scrap book that contains only you
I will put it all down in my little red book
And send these words on the wind to you
But the book of love may reach your first
For the winds have fleeter foot
Yet you cannot touch this book we wrote
For the winds won’t let you hold on tight
They say everything was meant to be
But I cannot understand why there is a hole in me
And I know one day I’ll hear
The sad sweet melody you play for your man to hear

But for now there’s beauty on the breeze
So breathe in and fill your lungs
What has gone is just a memory
Of a dream that you had when we were children young and free
But like a snowman I need a heart of ice
To feel nothing and care no more
But like a lily I am drawn to your heat
    And your love burns me
So like the book of love
I must depart on the winds
''It isn't enough for your heart to break because everybody's heart is broken now.''

    a sleepless night in hell

The lamp lights glow so brightly
Through the curtains of the room in which I cannot sleep
I have put my phone off the hook and the lights are obsolete
My mind is full of pain and shapes
    None are too discrete
And I am left to feel alone
    Worthless and burning with hate
I fought a saint for your love
The love of the female race
And they left me with nothing
    To show for my endeavours
So I call out to the gods of peace
    And only cohen’s voice answers
And he can calm my mind for a sweet little while
But then he departs to lie at his lady’s side
    And the dark shines again

    Kiss my angel goodnight
    Angels please kiss me too
    Verify my third rate love
    With a seldom kiss
And turn my face into the sun
And laugh as I run to hide
For my heart it is broken
And I long to roam alone
    Yet the loneliness is unbroken
    From now until dawn…

Both pieces are beautiful, sad and melancholic...almost enough to warn most, would be lovers, to conclude that the chase is not worth the price!
