holy cow tailor I have a fun man of the forest story to tell!
I started reading zane grey as a result of being a big fan of M*A*S*H. colonel potter read him, and I liked colonel potter. the first or second book I read of his was Wyoming. shortly afterwards, I met a fellow who had just moved back home to the area after having spent many years in Wyoming. I mentioned to him he might like the zane grey book I just read. turns out the fellow was real life friends with the guy who inspired the story of man of the forest, who was himself real life friends with zane grey.
just mentioned this book in another thread:
forrest gump by Winston groom, feel free to remove one of the "f's" for fidelity sake. a fun book, but a better movie than book. tom hanks' forrest is much more lovable than the book's version. although there are a few scenes in the book, had they made their way into the movie, that would have made the movie even more better. most notably the scene where he inadvertently rips all the clothes off of Raquel welch.
