    next time im at the library i'll hunt up some of the other orchestral variants and give a listen. the song is used to good effect throughout the movie.

    I just checked the book and unfortunately there's no index! i'll have to peruse it or read it to see. there IS a photo of him and dan akroyd as the "two wild and crazy guys" Czech brothers.

    the Mexican hat dance by herb alpert and the tijuana brass---and im sure from somewhere in looney tunes also.

    I have some vague memory of the song being comically used in a movie where the guy singing the chorus cant pronounce it rightly. does that sound familiar?

    cat people (putting out fire) by david bowie, from the movie cat people that got me hooked on nastassia kinski.
