sigh, let it out
as the cloud of sorrow hazes from your mouth
for all your actions are done so with doubt
uncertainty is all to familiar
and confidence is just a myth
a phoenix of sorts that just won`t die
only to crash and burn to dry your tears
the fog of your soul floats through the air
slowly dispersing itself to share with the universe
all of your love, pain, regret and joy
fill the world with yesterday, to prepare for today
tomorrow may never come
and it`s that uncertainty that keeps us alive
for life is just that: uncertain
knowledge is fabricated and depends on trust
yet trust is something we cannot do
self conscious and doubting we seclude our selfs
only to wish for interaction with those we need
as we push them away with our own self pity
yet we find each other through this haze of seclusion
like a beacon of light upon the sea of despair
a pillar of hope for the souls of the lost
finding each other amongst the madness of the world
for this is the light of the world, others
we focus on our selfs only to regret
life for others and life has purpose
the eternal question: why?
the answer we refuse to accept: why not?
