    Four Ones

One young man so wrapped in ire
His heart still burning as a terrible fire
The lick of a flame and the flash of the knife
And the brutal ending to a poor brute's life

One old man in love with his youth
Loving his dreams and denying the truth
Thin lines in his face- the medals of time
Tears running down, it is time to resign

One young woman roaming the streets
Searching the backways for clients to meet
Crawling through dirt and finding a man
One quick go and a banknote in her hand

One last chance before they die
To look at themselves and the faults they deny
As the guns shoot and their fatal wounds bleed
Death grabs their hands for the salvation they need

    This is beautifully written.

“Those who seek to satisfy the mind of man by hampering it with ceremonies and music and affecting charity and devotion have lost their original nature””

“If water derives lucidity from stillness, how much more the faculties of the mind! The mind of the sage, being in repose, becomes the mirror of the universe, the speculum of all creation.

Kelby, I really enjoyed your insightful poem. Well done.

Was every line never a Slave to the rhyme?

    For those who believe,
    no explanation is necessary.
    For those who do not,
    none will suffice.
