    Thumbs up Listening While Reading

I always turn in to "MY STATION" on Yahoo Launch everytime I'm browsing the internet..

At the moment, I'm listening to The Cure's Splintered in Her Head (from the Join the Dots...)

And you all always welcome to check out my station at Launch for great numbers of awesome songs, featuring The Smiths, Dire Straits, Elvis Costello, Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Cure, Zwan, Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Doors, Stone Temple Pilots, REM, Rage Against the Machine, and lots of more..

So what music you're listening to now when you're reading this post?

At the moment, I only listen to the dull hum of my hard drive, but earlier I listened to piano works by Claude Debussy (classical).

I listen to whatever happens to be on my play list for the day while chatting but if I am reading the news or forums, prefer not to listen to anything as it can distract me at times;or I end up not hearing what has been playing at all.

I've heard of the yahoo channels Scheherazade but never tried, one more distraction I don't think would be a good idea!

If I'm working on the comp I don't listen to anything, but if I'm just chatting I'll listen to tunes I have on my harddrive with winamp. Been listening to new Tom Waits stuff lately

I use LimeWire mostly but lately it is causing me lag... Maybe I should consider other options...

    Another one that likes Rammstein!
Right now I´m almost addicted to Los, from their new album Reise reise. It´s on repeat, especially when I´m alone at the office. There is a piece in Los that sounds like Smoke on the water and the combination is fantastic. Do you like Laibach as well? Tanz mit Laibach is a new favorite of mine.

I would never have believed that Laibach would make dance music.

I usually put something familiar one while I'm reading. I've found that I associate parts of a novel with whatever song I was listening to at the time, so later on thinking about/hearing/reading one will make me think of the other. Quite helpful for studying, actually.

Oh, and to actually answer the question, I like to think of my tastes as fairly eclectic, with I Mother Earth, Opeth, The Mars Volta, Nick Drake, Kyuss, The Mingus Big Band, and Rachmaninoff leading the way.
Yeah, I'm giving the 'wink' and the 'gun' like Ponch from Chips, big whoop wanna fight about it?

I'm still hearing Morrisey from the show I went to see just a few hours ago. It was very nice.

At home, nothing new. Miles Davis's Lift to the Scaffold and U2's Pop, to warm up until their next album comes out (which BTW, has the crappiest name I've heard in years, and it's easily their worst).
