    joyous cosmology 2.13.08

    (this has nothing to do with Valentine's day.)

    so, I apologize for posting twice the same thing--I already posted this in poetry section, so close it if you wish.

    the truth will amaze you
    you will not believe
    but it always existed
    for you to receive.

    it's quite simple, but hard to explain,
    you'll notice it the first time you call the rain,
    the simple truth is that when you
    experience everything, it's the truth.

    i know this is not a good poem,
    it's hardly meant to be.
    the rain and the tress, the sky,
    that is enough for me.

    in truth not a single word will fit--
    if you think it's poetry it is,
    no matter what it's up to you;
    division, illusion, neither is true.

    you are the truth of what's true for you.
    you are exactly the truth of what you know--
    to integrate it means to learn something new;
    to be what the knowledge can show.

    if you can smell what is in all the air;
    and if you can sing, call god to you there;
    then you are already two steps on the way;
    go back to the beginning and see.

    can you see the artists way of going?
    do you see things as they are?
    integration is the only way of knowing,
    and if you know then you're everywhere.

    and if you perceive the illusion,
    stand outside the dream.
    this is where the artists are;
    if you know, they'll see you know.

    and if you perceive the illusion,
    it breaks away and god is called to you.
    it is the simple triumph of truth over confusion,
    and pain succumbs to peace ever true.

    because there is no pain here, only smiling artists;
    that is the secret to it all, "no pain."
    in fact if we integrate the highest knowledge,
    we've gone beyond it all.

    the integration is something like really being;
    really existing.

    what i meant is;

    when you know the truth, and that division is illusion;
    immediately someone will appear before you who also knows the truth,
    you will see that they are like somone you know perhaps,
    but they know the truth as well.
    since nothing else is real...
    that is, everything is just phenomena;
    we experience it over and over; and it has meaning;
    and doesn't it build on itself?
    anyway; when we see none of it is real, then we are able to break free;
    we are not bound by our previous conceptions,
    and, of course,
    everything is infused with meaning;

    and, further, we see ourselves in everyone; as we do;
    the impossible happens,
    as we are not bound by anything,
    then it breaks apart and falls away,
    and we see ourselves, just appearing, in front of us everywhere.

    how to explain- when we experience everything;
    it's not that we become insane.
    okay, really, it's not insanity.
    the illusion is what is not real.
    breaking free of it might seem like insanity, but then, reality does seem like insanity to non-reality.
    if we truly break free, then this is not just metaphorically but literally true.

    if reality is shared, for instance; then if we break free and someone else has too, a shared true reality exists. in this reality time doesn't matter, nor do our other conceptions.
    when i meet someone like this, which happens many times in the day, there is an instant deep communication. deeper than what is commonly accepted as reality.
    what else is there to know? this is knowledge? it has nothing to do with any of our other conceptions; it is love.
    so when we do this; when we break free,
    then we are immediately linked with everything, and when we see everything, we see someone else on the other side; that also sees everything.

    Deep and penetrating, yet honestly frank and open.

    “Those who seek to satisfy the mind of man by hampering it with ceremonies and music and affecting charity and devotion have lost their original nature””

    “If water derives lucidity from stillness, how much more the faculties of the mind! The mind of the sage, being in repose, becomes the mirror of the universe, the speculum of all creation.
