    New Years Eve

who is staying up 'till midnight New Years Eve and how will you be spending it?
"I'm afriad to fall," she whispered.
    "I'll catch you," he replied.

It would be too rude to mention on this forum. Besides that, I will be sleeping it through ;-)
I sent my Soul through the Invisible,
Some letter of that After-life to spell:
And by and by my Soul return'd to me,
    And answer'd "I Myself am Heav'n and Hell :"

I will be going to one or possibly two gatherings. The one I will attend for sure is the annual party for my old gang at my friend Olga's house. The other will be a smaller more select group of mostly Francophones at the home of a woman I met recently.

i'll be staying up.. we always do. and we usually go out and watch fireworks (we never have our own) but this year might be different since we came from Disney World a day or two back and, well, as my aunt said, "no one in any place can ever top the fireworks here. we're not having fireworks for new year." but i guess i'll still w;ak outside and watch, since i just love fireworks displays. (maybe because the sound makes me forget my resolutions, lol) advanced happy new year!

Probably stay at home, maybe get out and watch the fireworks (if it isn't too cold). Or get a nice cup of hot chocolate and watch "Dick Clark's New Year's Eve" or whatever it's called.

Who doesn't? I've never met anyone who doesn't, unless of course they have a reason like being ill or too old or too young etc.
My plan this year was to stay home and sulk, but it seems they've convinced me to spend it at some guy's place (in another city) with friends. Seems alright because, as much as I am not concerned about partying and all the cool stuff*, I would be afraid that staying home sulking would get me completely depressed.

    * Lots of people go out of their way to sort themselves out a cool new year, possibly at a wild party or at an expensive dinner etc.

I have no idea if I will. I plan to log of my pc at about 9 and then my mum is teaching me to knit. after that I'll probably work on an art project, read some of the dune series and watch movies 'til I fall asleep.

Yeah, that was my first thought too, who doesn't?

It's going to be a quiet one this New Year's Eve. My wife and I will be going to my mother-in-law's and along with our niece have a quiet night. We seem to have this tradition of ordering Chinese food for New Year's Eve and watching TV.

Truthfully, I am likely to go to bed early. It isn't that I don't care about the new year, sleep has just become a much coveted item for me, and I've gotten far too little. If I do stay up, it will only be until right at midnight, and then I'm off to bed.

it's a friend's birthday on New Year's Eve and my hubby and me will visit her. there's not going to be any wild party or 'cool' stuff, though. just a quiet games night with dinner, crisps, chocolate and a little Glühwein (mulled wine). At 12 we'll watch the fireworks. My friend's husband usually has his own fireworks.

Probably by reading some good book. Nothing better than that to mark the beginning of a year!
