I'm from Azerbaijan. my country is situated in Caucasus. as much as I understood Tolstoy have written this book about Turks living in Caucasus. (like me)

I just finished a Teaching Company series on the Western Literatury Cannon. The Profesor was a guy from UNLV who went to Oxford I think it was. Any way, he rated Hadji Murad as the single best book in that tradition. Ya, I want to read it, just haven't got that far.
