Thread: The straight line

    The straight line

    With a sickly,
    thin physique,
    I have travelled,
    a long distance.
    By tearing through
    the heart of untruth,
    I have sought for truth.
    Sometimes,
    I lie low,
    without visible entity,
    under the layer of dust,
    for ages.
    Because,
    I too have a mission.
    A mission-
    to pierce through
    a golden mass,
    to see
    that,
it is only a lump of brass,
with a lining of gold around...

I like the first seven lines and the idea of travelling a long distance in search of truth but I don't quite understand the rest. It's kind of mysterious and makes you think..what is this buried in the dust? I like the last lines about piercing the gold and finding it's just brass inside - revealing what the thing really is, pretentious, precious in its appearance whilst underneath it's just something ordinary, not worth much at all.

It is found to happen sometimes that facts in respect of some events are distorted or burried under the influence of some unseen forces or power center. It also appears that truth regarding some facts are kept hidden or are covered up through high connections.subsequently however it appears that situations change with time and the facts are dug out from the burrial and put to shape.the hidden truth is thus recoverred and its lid gets removed at ease and everything under it is exposed. However the process may sometimes require very long period of time.

Thanks for your explanation Hareswar, I understand now. Your explanation reminds me, my son went last night to watch Fahrenheit 911 - which is a film commenting on the real reasons behind 9/11, the war in Afghanistan and the war in Iraq. I haven't seen the film and only know what my son told me but he was really impressed - but what you said about the truth lying hidden and then eventually surfacing made remember about the film.

There probably has been a technical snag somewher. The explanation that i sent and the subsequent reply that u sent were'nt available for the past few days.I was misguided into resending the explanation thereby.
    Thanks anyway.
