Greetings. Am looking for anyone to discuss Remains of the Day by Ishiguro. Am doing an Eng Lit course with the University of London external programme, two units this year "Moderns" and "Empire and literature". Looking for a book to 'compare' Remains of the Day with, either on the Empire angle (deception, self-deception, self-reflection, mimicry: subjects reflecting ruler, downstairs reflecting upstairs (e.g. Godsford Park)) or memory/nostalgia/unreliable narration angle. Any advice /suggestions most gratefully received.
