If only... I struggle with the thought.

    four o'clock

    bougainvilleas tease bees
    with vibrant colors and scent
    their thorny vines a challenge
to birds who like to perch while
    hummingbirds will flit and sip
    crowding lazy butterflies

    Heat Stroke

    Dripping
    sweltering flesh
    thoughts pooling on the ground
    unrelenting punishing heat
    relief!

Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before. ~ Edgar Allan Poe

Quite timely... love the form... enjoyed the poem and its resolution

    REMember

leave it to me to lose my mind so
    - it's here someplace, misplaced -
I REMember sleep and the vigor
it gave... I seem to have lost it too

    slowly
    does it
    it dissipates
    has it
    time is but
    a number
    that ticks away
    thunder
    the horizon
    is an image wonder.
    it may never try
but when it does it sigh
    it is just that
    good
    it fly

    Loved this!

    A
    single
    christal
    drop:
    dew or tear?

    A
    single
    christal
    sound:
    lament
    or
    laughter?

    Random scale
    of
    suffering
    or
    happiness.

    Very deep !

S1 of 8 from A Nurturing Walk in the G’town Nature Conservatory 11/2/2022

there's a bite in the air - an off and on
gentle rain falls under patch quilt gray
cloudy skies; skies with hints and tints
of blue as clouds surge and merge - an
    autumn afternoon's choreography in play

Don't remember reading this beautiful poem! I'm on tablet somewhat limited without mouse, so just a tiny poem:

    CV
    Brevity
    Lunacy
    Eternity!

Thank you ! I needed to edit a spot but the editor is playing games: afternoon > afternoon's. It was the opening stanza of a longer poem that I thought stood on its own well.

Good luck on your CV Your frustration stands out in four brief words.

Thanks, tailor. Didn't want to sound frustrated. The words just suggested themselves.

    I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving . It's this weekend, isn't it?
