You know I've been wanting to read Rabbit, Run for the longest time. My schedule is tight in September, but i may just do it. Not sure yet, so I'll hold back. I'll probably won't do the others if they get selected.

I will most likely not participate this coming month. I really wanted to read Updike too!!

But I'll see how this month goes. I've managed to put myself into many reading groups.

I have been waiting for this. I hope The Centaur wins the poll! It's the only book of Updike I have got and it just seems amazing!

The Centaur sounds like a good read, but I don't know if I'll have the time for it. I'll wait.

Hey, I’m new to all this and i was wondering when the final decision is usually made for the book because I’m guessing that's around the time we'll start reading it...right?

Hi everyone. I'm new to this too. I'm getting a message that I can't vote but I am interested in the final decision.

I'm curious how an online book club works, so I'll look forward to September.

    Welcome to the Forum, Kitten.

To be able to vote, you need to have 50+ votes. If you reach that number by the end of the month, you can still cast your vote.

Looking forward to having you reading your posts!

Meanwhile, if you are interested, you can read Midnight's Children or To The Light House with us:

I'm torn between The Centaur and Terrorist: A Novel. I think on it some before casting my vote. I like the idea of Greek symbolism in The Centaur, but the other sounds like an interesting read too. Decisions, decisions

I've read The Centaur, I've read Terrorist and Witches of Eastwick. I would like to read Rabbit, Run. I'm in the middle of S.

Oh goodie. Rabbit is winning. I'll think it's safe at this point to vote as well.

The Withces of Eastwick. Why? Is the only Updike book I own!

Ah! I've never read any Updike. *interest piqued*
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone, there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Alright, so I decided to go with The Centaur, but if Rabbit, Run wins I'll still likely participate. It sounds good as well, and I've never read Updike. I may just get them both from the library
