Is this book the same as Cousin Bette?

And seven years later, the answer is no.

I've looked up the translation on Project Gutenberg ("Cousin Betty") and the opening text is different.

I know setting up this board and linking to online texts is a labour of love, for which we should be very grateful. But I really question the usefulness of providing links to out of date translations particularly if they translate the titles to something that is not used nowadays.
