    Far Beyond The Sapphire Sky

I watch you glide above the ocean
    And skim the water effortlessly
    You live between the sky
And the deep blue of the sea

When the dark clouds block the sun
You seek shelter from the storm
    With feathers ruffled around you
In an effort to keep warm

As the sun starts sinking lower
At the edge of the shining sea
    You fly towards the horizon
    So graceful and carefree

At night you huddle on the sand
As the waves crash upon the shore
And in the first light of morning
You set on out to explore

I look at you in wonder
And feel my spirit start to rise
As you let the thermals take you
    Far beyond the sapphire sky

    Beyond the Saphire sky

I like the image your poem portrays, especially the final line where you can picture the colour of the sky - a rich saphire blue.
