Mal de Mer Man
Prison Poetry
Without getting into politics, without endorsing one side over the other; I found this article from the front page of the Wall Street Journal to be very interesting.
Where does one turn to express oneself while imprisoned, isolated, and with little or no hope of ever being released? Poetry, of course!

Brendan Behan wrote a very good poem when he was in Prison. Its in Irish but if i can find it i'll post it with it's translation. Was in the Movie Borstal Boy(2000)
"Come away O human child! To the waters of the wild, With a faery hand in hand, For the worlds more full of weeping than you can understand."
W.B.Yeats
"If it looks like a Dwarf and smells like a Dwarf, then it's probably a Dwarf (or a latrine wearing dungarees)"
Artemins Fowl and the Lost Colony by Eoin Colfer
