Revenge and deceit are strong themes in Chekhov's works.

And those are just off the top of my head. You can do a word search for 'revenge' or 'deceit' from his biography page and many results come up.
The main character in "The Lady and the Dog" is a habitual cheater. There's also an affair in "The Duel". The story "A Problem" is about a teenage forger. The story "A Chorus Girl" has embezzlement in it.
