Niamh, we are quite familiar about the phoneticalness of Irish (we were shown a little in a linguistics camp) or rather, the lack of it and it seemed to us the,at it was probably the most unphonetic language ever, even worse than french or english, and totally different from English and Estonian concerning phonetics.
So, for the sake of pronounciation, could you provide one?
Back to the topic:
Armastus (arm- ah-st- uhs) - love
Naine (nai pronounced like in the word night- neh) - woman
Mees (e is like in word "met but pronounced much longer)- man
If you believe even a half of this post, you are severely mistaken.

As to the pronunciation, well I've no idea how to convey it in English.....
