    New Languages thread

I've been mulling this as an idea for a thread for a long while now. Not sure if it'll work but here goes! Post any word in another language. Tell us what language and what the word means.

Marhaba is Arabic (Lebanese dialect) for hello.

And book languages like Elvish or Latin are invited too!
"The time has come," the Walrus said,
    "To talk of many things:
    Of shoes--and ships--and sealing-wax--
    Of cabbages--and kings--
And why the sea is boiling hot--
    And whether pigs have wings."

    Some of us laugh
    Some of us cry
    Some of us smoke
    Some of us lie
But it's all just the way
that we cope with our lives...
