Really? oh good! Because it's really bothered me since the time I was 8. I was in england for my aunt's wedding, and a lady said to me (you have to understand that I have three older brothers) "Your mother finally had a girl and gave her a boy's name!" It was aweful because I was so young.
I'm weary with right-angles, abbreviated daylight,
Waiting for a winter to be done.
Why do I still see you in every mirrored window,
In all that I could never overcome?

well that was mean! Did she really say that to you! You should have told her she looked like a man.

My first name is Michael; and my friends call me "Michael"...so do the same, everyone, when you get the chance and consider calling me anything.

I am pretty sure that I know both your first & last names (believe when someone you know first signed up they included your name in their first post)

Yes, well, that was a mild faux pas on her part. C'est la vie, she's long since been forgiven.

I am sure every one knows my name, but some pronounce it differently (especially people from other countries). I used to talk to this US based client, and every time I would call, he would say "Hi Mud-hooo-ri" It was so funny hearing my name that way
