    Smile Invent A Word

    INVENT A WORD

Each year the Washington Post's Style Invitational asks readers to take
any word from the dictionary, alter it by adding, subtracting, or changing
only one letter and supply a new definition. Here are the 2002 winners:

Intaxication: Euphoria at getting a tax refund, which lasts until you
realize it was your money to start with.

Reintarnation: Coming back to life as a hillbilly.

Foreploy: Any misrepresentation about yourself for the purpose of getting laid.

    Giraffiti:Vandalism painted very, very high.

Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person who doesn't get it.

Inoculatte: To take coffee intravenously when you are running late.

    Hipatitis: Terminal coolness.

Osteopornosis: A degenerate disease. (This one got extra credit).

Karmageddon: It's like, when everybody is sending off all these really bad vibes, right? And then, like, the Earth explodes and it's like, a serious bummer.

Glibido: All talk and no action.

Dopeler Effect: The tendency of stupid ideas to seem smarter when they come at you rapidly.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------

The rule of the Game is above (or if you fancy invent anyword you like but supply a definition which either witty or amusing :-))

So fancy a challeng of inventing a new word? :-)

Come on have a go :-)

    Here is mine attempt:

Shaiku - Japanese poetry for shy people :-)

I sent my Soul through the Invisible,
Some letter of that After-life to spell:
And by and by my Soul return'd to me,
    And answer'd "I Myself am Heav'n and Hell :"

Litterature = A book so bad that you just want to throw it out of the nearest window.

    Bibliopile
= The stack of books that forms in the corner of your home library when you run out of shelf space.

Liebrary = A place where you can only borrow books of fiction.

Messay = Incoherent writings that have no structure & no point other than a general theme.

here's one that I made up when I was doing a quick study of latin roots:

    macrophilogos: major love of words!

"The time has come," the Walrus said,
    "To talk of many things:
    Of shoes--and ships--and sealing-wax--
    Of cabbages--and kings--
And why the sea is boiling hot--
    And whether pigs have wings."

One which i sometimes use in conversation, from the french, oublier - to forget, is
    Oubliation.

In context: Forgive my oubliations, but I was immersed in some litterature at the the time
It is our rsponsibilities, not ourselves, that we should take seriously.

Stresscode - the way it is trendy to be stressed and so not understood by the world.
If you believe even a half of this post, you are severely mistaken.

antonomical - adj form of antonym, actually used this in an AP essay and got point s for creativity, then got those points canceled out because it's not an actual word

bombing run - when one doesn't try to do anything in school for a certain amount of time, bombs test, papers, etc. also happens when one unintentionally doesn't understand test, quizzes, etc.
life philosophy: "if one wants to succeed, they must become independent, if one wants to be independent, one must strive past the dificulties, using them to shape future desicions, like a sword being folded, every fold is a hardship overcome, and every fold removes one more imperfection that would destroy the completed version"
