The first two lines sort of popped into my head, so I turned this into a poem about 5 minutes ago and thought I would share. I don't mind sharing since this is practically anonymous:
Never mind the fickle willow,
Who blows with any breeze.
But remember the sturdy oak,
Which only flutters leaves.
And remember not the tall lily,
Which wilts on a hot summer day.
Think of instead a stout orchid,
One which will never fade away.
Do not think of the ocean,
A fiend which never stays the same.
Security is found in pools,
When controlled they are quite tame.
If only I had known this before,
My garden would have lasted forevermore.
