if you are feeling particularly star warsy tailor, you might try metallica's version of the imperial march. I wouldn't call it great, but its worth a listen.

hmm, the question really might be which one is used to better effect in the movies.

jar jar is comically likeable but his presence in the movies was pretty debate-able. crumb is loathsome and his presence in the movie didn't seem controversial. in short, I think people could say jar jar detracted from star wars and shouldn't have been written into it, while crumb, nasty as he is, was in keeping with a desirable rendering of the whole jabba scene. gotta go with him.

everyone knows that all the men, despite being men, cried when spock died. whose death was the most touching in star wars? yoda, obi wan, qui gon, anakin, padme, kylo ren, han, leia, or luke?

I just might... Metallica was the last concert I attended: Cow Palace in South San Francisco circa 1995 or so.

    Both creatures grate on me.

Most unexpected death prolly Q-GJ in my estimation. Most noble: O-WK.

Best Jedi Master teacher: Yoda, Q-JG, O-WK, Luke, or other ?

I recently saw a few minutes of a metallica concert with what must have been the san Francisco symphony...I love that sort of thing. kiss did a concert like that too. and when rock bands employ choirs too (like that heart performance of stairway to heaven) or when they hook up with opera singers.

have you seen the video of the 2014 boston strong performance of dream on with the boston children's choir? makes my eyes water.

and if I got you in a dream on mode, hunt up the live performance by Alicia keys, blake Shelton, adam levine and miley cyrus. its great.

that's a fun question. I have a vague memory of liking the relationship between qui gon and the young obi wan and thinking he was someone I could let teach me. but then the old obi wan was good too, although his time with luke was too short. small edge to qui gon.

you just met some hot chick who wants to spend the weekend with you binge watching something science fiction/fantasy. which do you choose:

star wars or star trek voyager?

lol... "metallica's version of the imperial march": not enough James and vastly overproduced.

Dream On (Boston Strong 2014)... Liv's dad in the spirit of Boston Strong

Adam Levine, Alicia Keys, Blake Shelton, Miley Cyrus - Dream On... Adam nails it

re: binge - lol... let's start with just binging - go with STV.

Ferengi in NG or DS-9 or other ?

yes I think metallica's version could have been a bit more rough and raucous.

I loved how they split the song into four parts they each sang. my favorite of the bunch was miley cyrus' strong rambunctious entrance, especially after adam levine's slow high register.

do you have a really memorable voyager episode?

that's a fun question---some of the ferengi episodes in next generation were good ones, but what I liked better about them in ds9 was their near constant presence and the character development.

potato chips or tortilla chips or corn chips or sweet potato chips or some weird vegetable chips or pretzels?

Memorable STV episode ? I'll have to give it more thought... but the 2 EMH's against the Romulans in the Alpha quadrant would be a good start... oh, and Barclay's first contact with the Delta quadrant... or, any of the episodes with species 8472...

BBQ ruffled potato chips with dip are my preference.

Beef ribs or pork ribs from the BBQ ?

I have a bit of a memory of Barclay making contact with voyager, but not the other ones you mentioned. when I go through the series i'll have to keep my eyes extra peeled.

ruffled bbq chips are hard to come by. whats your favorite dip of choice?

im vegetarian but I think in my pre-vegetarian days, the more common between the two, and still even rare at that, would have been beef ribs.

living in the house with the munsters (or the Addams family) or being stranded on Gilligan's island?

so many different perspectives from which to approach the question, but since we're in a literature forum, i'll default to that, and go with
gone with the wind. I just recently got ahold of a dvd collection; alas the movie itself is missing but in one of the dvd's they have an interview with clark gable, that's just proceeded by the fanfare associated with the screening of the movie. heck it was so boisterous it almost looked like the end of WWII.

the wizard of oz might have been a better movie than gone with the wind (I don't know) but its one of the those book/movie pairs where the movie is better than the book. I liked the book, but it doesn't have the same epic grandeur im associating with gone with the wind.

id enjoy reading a book on the manhattan project if I ever come across one.

Hewlett-packard---wish someone in my family would have bought stock!

partial to Lincoln logs as a kid---I had them, and tinker toys and an erector set too.

but the lego scene in the sandlot is sooo funny and the lego batman movie is soooo good, just the way the characters move makes me laugh.

all you can eat soup or all you can eat salad?

Lol, had forgotten tinker toys. Also had an erector set that saw sparse use. Like most of my childhood my toys never seemed to survive from one move to another. I've only seen bits in the sandlot and the lego scene doesn't seem to ring a bell... lego movies haven't made their debut with me yet.

Salad. I would stalk the salad bars meticulously and with heartiness, and then only if the soup was one I liked would I have but one bowl ~ partial to the creamy soups

All you can eat chicken wings or beef ribs if you weren't a vegetarian ?

if you like batman, the lego batman movie is a must see!

I misspoke tailor---I should have said the erector set scene from the sandlot. do you remember that one?

im from western ny, south of buffalo, where supposedly the chicken wing was invented, late high school/early college years, so they were a pretty ubiquitous part of our eating out. plus they go great with blue cheese, the sauce is tasty, they always came with carrots and celery, which was fun. id have to go with them.

at your salad bar---do you put the dressing on first and all the toppings second, or all the toppings first and then the dressing?

salad essentials in order: lettuces/tomatoes/(a little pasta salad on the side)/olives/mushrooms(button & sliced)/avocado (if available)/croutons/ other... then blue cheese dressing/shredded cheeses/sunflower seeds/bacon bits/ with guacamole on the side (if available)... maybe some grated pepper

Water with or without flavoring (Mio/lemon/other) ?
