The noves is not historically accurate at all. "jacques" was the name of all common French. And Louis XV wasn't the trigger of the french revolution anyway- there is a huge number of different reasons: political, economical and social that led to the revolution.
Dickens mostly used Carlyle's account of the revolution and there is a huge number of mistakes there. Plus Carlyle was British and very unsympathetic to the revolution. Robespierre `by his descriptions is worth than Satan
