    Post Sexuality in Whitman's Poems

    >>Hello<<

I'm reading some from Leaves of Grass and am interested in exploring sexuality themes throughout the anthology. From what I understand, Whitman largely presents female-male sensuality, but at some point he basically, "comes out of the closet" and presents some male-male sensuality. Can people suggest particular poems or pieces of poems that exemplify either of these forms of sexuality in his poems?

    Thanks.

    Robert:

I can't remember the name of the poem, but its one of the ones where he is on the road again, traveling out west, when I think, he meets someone of the same sex and beds down. I don't know if it was a long relationship or not, but I'll scan my copy of the LoG at the house and see if I can find the actual verse.
