    Loved the word play!

    Fading light

    Vanishing sunbeams
    In the horizon, may dusk
    fall lightly on us

Loved the image. Yes, itīs a self consolatory poem, but the cold is getting better already, thanks!

    Sleepy afternoon
    Under the fading sunlight
    the workers doze.

Glad to know Liked your vignette too.

Thanks! Liked yours very much too, specially itīs double meaning.

    The village sleeps
    one lonely rooster
    advertises dawn.

lol... now I see it ! A neighbor used to have a rooster about 1/4 mile (0.42 km) away that seemed to crow all the time that echoed through our little valley.

    rusted

Dutifully looked up gila monsters:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gila_monster. Ejoyed specially the bees' haiku.

    Wild winds still abound
    Without exasperation,
    Tiny doves rest.

Lol... dutifully ? There's an old campy SciFi movie called "The Giant Gila Monster"... wikipedia: (spoilers)... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Giant_Gila_Monster
Enjoyed the Haiku... hoping the doves weather the storm.

    spider fails

Loath spiders, but this one is endearing.

    Lazy awakenings

    Mornings cold breeze
    prevails, waves subside
    Streets move their legs.

lol... I save spiders and get them out-of-doors with mixed results (currently recovering from obligatory spider bite).

Love "streets move their legs"... very urbane.

    beside a still pond

    beside a still pond
    dulcet bird songs orchestrate
as day breaks - crisp, cool

re: Spiders- (lol)If you really have to pet them, canīt you do it wearing those thick rubber gloves you surely have at home?

    a harmonic vignette!

    Saturdays/Sundays

    Somehow the town
    (yawning in the midday sun)
    is not at home.
