    Lol!

    An magic instant

    A prying bird, hops
on the window sill its black
    eyes roam. It departs.

re: a skunk... true story: this morning about 3:00 am while trying to cool the house down with window open.

    Love it

    the mantis

    humid afternoon
    alert green mantis praying,
    swaying, saying grace

Enjoyed both poems. In Portuguese the mantis is called Louva-Deus (praise God!)

    Winter day

    Patches of cold sun,
    Heaven wearing a hesi-
    tant blue! Harmony!

"Louva-Deus"... much better than Praying Mantis

Enjoyed you Haiku very much: "Heaven wearing a hesi-
    tant blue!"

    Enjoyed!

    Urban night
    The coldest of moons,
    Noisy neighbors hover around
    Dog howls can be heard.

"The coldest of moons,"... great first line - enjoyed your Haiku

    crickets

    cool down mid of night
    crickets chirp rapid cadence
    full moon, dim lit stars

    Sunday noon

    Frolicking dogs bark
    happily; humans en-
    grossed by their cells.

    Oh!

    Gegenschein,

    Sleepless nights,
    a lit window opposite
    brings morning relief.

    mosses/lichen

    mosses mingle 'neath
old man's beard and witch's hair
    draped on dank tree limbs

Enjoyed both haikus specially the last one.

    Ghosts

    White weird shapes
people the night. The sun re-
    veals harmless blankets.
