    Sounds like a comfortable day

Just like here, when the birds are not impelled to sing at midnight.

    Praça Roosevelt on Sunday morning

    A deserted place
    then birds, fast paced people
    morning breaks, dogs sing.

Googled Praça Roosevelt... beautiful urban space... must have been nice to have it for your own for a time.

Enjoyed both haikus. Wondering at the natural presence of foxes in more rural US( Thinking also of bluebiirds accounts, about the foxes near her house). re Praça Roosvelt: Tried to upload a picture I made of Praça Roosevelt with my Android from my window, but it didn´t work.

    Loneliness
    A little bird chirps
    And listens for an answer
    No one answers him.

Love your Haiku... a touch of melancholy.

We have many foxes and blue birds (mostly Jays) here in Garden Valley... had a mountain lion on our property yesterday; bears once in a while. We have Pine Martins and other weasely kin, but the Stoat poem plenty was pure whimsy after a bit of woolgathering and googling.

    Poor honeysuckle

re:"had a mountain lion on our property yesterday; bears once in a while" Are they pacific or do they try to attack? (if the question sounds to silly I only ever saw lions in the zoo or on a screen).

    The lion

    Early sunrise
    A lion crosses the streets
    His fur resplendent.

    Enjoyed the Haiku

Most wild animals out here stay away from people, but there are sightings... only a few animal stalkings and one death in memory nearby... https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-...703-story.html . Bears will enter homes and cars if they can when they smell food, but rarely happens here in the foothills where they're more likely to raid garbage cans... more problematic in Lake Tahoe (higher elevations)... https://wildlife.ca.gov/Conservation...uth-lake-tahoe

re: I guess, you all got used to these eventual visitors. Once in Canada I saw in the news that a big bear had bear attracted by the swimming pool of a mansion. Alas, here the garbage cans are raided by humans.

Seems I got so perplexed about the meaning of the haiku in # 565 that I forgot to come back. Liked grey owl

AAII! You have quite a collection of cute animal poems for your page, I think!

    The llama

    A haughty llama
    Ponders superciliously
    On human frailties
