    Loved particularly the last verse

    Shadows of warriors
    Glide along the lake.
    Water mirrors them.

    Enjoyed both.

    lame/limp
    (sprained my instep)

    so dreadful afoot
    sprain - an arduous hobbling
    because of the pain

    life's afoot

    all's afoot when all
is well - till pain takes you down
    out of step with life

Oh my! That sounds real. Didnīt enjoy the content but appreciated the humor!

Yes, unfortunately real. All I was doing was walking in a store when I felt something like a pop... X-rays negative so just a ligament in my instep that decided to act up. $90 USD later I was good to go with a foot wrap and OTC meds and Lidocaine patch. Wish I could be inactive... stuff to do.

    rainclouds

    just beyond the pale
    mischievous rainclouds survey
    glistening rooftops

Good that you were x-rayed and medicated immediately. The feet represent the independence of so young people as we. Wish you a quick recover.

    A charming poem

    The Horizon

    Always receding
    the limit of future dreams.
    Reverie beckons.

So true... Thanx ! Beautiful Haiku

    remorse

    with hope remorse fades
to rest from view the long night
    and balance restored

    Beautiful!

    To all dying cats

    Nothing will replace
    your unique fluffiness,
    and exuberance.

    Liked the wordplay!

    Summerly winter
    stretches its lethargic limbs.
    The sun yawns slyly.
