Middle Earth Birthday
The road goes ever, ever on, down past the Forest of Lothlorien and the falls,
The elves are strong in Middle Earth, yet dark evil stirs its head.
Like a shadow over the land, the voice form Mordor calls
Morgoth, the evil Dark Lord, corrupting and remaking things of dread.
Into this world was born Idril, elfish princess of pure blood,
Eyes as keen as the Great Eagles, feet as light and swift as a deer.
In battle almost matchless, skilful, strong, and well armed she stood.
The light of battle in her eyes, yet not the slightest sign of fear.
Morgoth, ever tricky, evil, created terrors beyond any gone before,
He created great trolls in mockery of the mighty race of Ents.
And to mock the elves he created Orcs, by thousands of scores—
And a thing of fire and shadow—Balrog—slipped past Khazaddum’s door.
One city Minas Morgul becomes by fell things only it's inhabited.
