source of Hamlet: "more things in heaven and earth Than dreamt of in your philosophy"

Does anyone know if this line is an allusion to (paraphrase of) an older line from the Bible, Greek or Roman drama, etc.?

    Hamlet:
"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio,
Than are dreamt of in your philosophy."

If I can recall correctly, It is not meant as an allusion, but only as a remark that there are more things and meanings in the world than that of the ideas of Horatio. I think, lol.

    Hi. Thanks for the comment.

Hamlet sounds so sure -- sounds like he's quoting.

Yes, But in Shakespeare, the intellect of most his characters were strong speakers and therefore most often sure which thought/emotion to express in or at a certain time.
