One of the reasons, yes. He wouldn't risk getting rejected when he confesses his feelings to the girl, but I guess, in this time and age, we wouldn't have girlfriend-boyfriend relationships if one party didn't reveal what he/she truly felt about each other. Bravery is the thing.

    I guess you're the girl?

Why the hell do guys need to make the first move constantly? Why shouldn't women also have to deal with the fear of the great knockback?

Scared is not the right word, however there are so many things that can go wrong: Am I talking gibberish?; Am I staring at her breasts instead of talking to her face?; Am I concentrating too hard on keeping looking at her face that I look some kind of homicidal maniac?; Have I drank too much tonight and this lass is going to seem far less appealing in the light of day?; Am I slurring my speech?; I am having to shout over the music so she can hear me, if it cuts out I'm going to look like an idiot.

i once believed it was the guys job but then i decided to do it myself! and its the only relationship i've been in for more than a couple of months! and i'm still in it. If you think he likes you, make a move.

    .

I think cause it's natural....I'd never ever make the first move; I'm just not comfortable with that. Guys were made to initiate and girls to respond (in general, not all the time).

it's nothing new to fall in love with a friend. (plus, you have an edge. my friend--who i have fallen for as well, lol-- says to fall in love is puppy love and to grow in love is love.) i do agree with the whole guys-make-the-first-move thing. i mean, in some cases it can make the girl who initiates look like a flirt... then again, though, if you're sure aboout your feelings and his, then go for it.

What's wrong with a girl initiating.I do that all the time and it always works out for me.What doesn't work out is that i stop liking them after a while (not hate them but i feel that they're not that special anymore).
I think if u like someone go for it.
What does gender got to do with it?!!

Why dont you ask him out? Maybe ask him if he'd like to do something or go some where...and just the two of you. see what he says. Sometimes waiting for him to make the move isn't always the best thing. He might not even realise you like him.
