    Another Guessing Game

I've decided that I'm tired of keeping everything under wraps - it requires too much effort, and prevents me from celebrating some of the things I most want to share with my friends here.

I've come to a decision - that I'm old enough now that I can take care of myself, and that no one would be crazy enough to stalk me (not with you all to back me up, anyhow). So...after a few rounds of guessing, a la the Robin's Age thread...I'm willing to reveal my country of origin.

...what? I know, it's not exactly putting my name and number on the line, here, but considering how long I've spent trying to prevent people from guessing what hemisphere I'm in, it's a big deal for me. Any takers?

Robin...You are too much. I think you are one of my fellow countrymen, but to give your evasiveness credit I only just started thinking this.

A bit of snooping through your recent posting history turned this up:

Good Sherlocking, cuppajoe...but then of course Robin might have done that purposefully...

    Tricky tricky...

US perhaps, or maybe an owned territory?

And I just noticed, Robin's one post away from achieving 6,666!

Obviously Sir Robin hails from Freedonia.

I'm willing to reveal my country of origin.
Isn't this a bit slippery though. Knowing your country of origin doesn't mean we actually know where you are now. Ah well, we'll take what we can get.

welll lets see you said once there is a reason you ccan speak spanish, you also once a comment about proms that means you have got to have spent a signifcant amount of time states side, because who else in all the world makes uch a fuss over parties?

Also there is the increible knowledge of american comics, which arent that easy to come by in anyt of the places Ive lived, although I suppose a true enthuisas wouldnt mid forking ou masses.

Also the cartoons thread might help as we know his ages and the things he watched.

All in all I think you are from 'The Western World' most likly the states or somewhere where there is alot of spanish spoken but you may not actually live there...might explain not seeing your girlfriend in person for ages.

So I guess your an expat with links to the states (either your from there or you go to one of the many many 'American schools' dotted around the world).

I didn't know they called it "proms" in the States...I thought that was just British (here in Australia the terminology is "formals")...but it seems I'm wrong. I don't really know much about American customs, anyway. Though I do know they like to spell "colour" without the beautiful, wonderful U...

Aye, true enough...but keep snooping. Of course, it is true that I have more posts without the 'u' than with it (16 to 6)...but then, there are so many reasons why that could be.

    some squiggly little island?
Hong Kong???? Singapore??? they have English as a first language, don't they? but it doesn't explain the Spanish... (I'm still obsessed with the idea that Robin is Chinese)
a south-western US state where there are lots of Spanish speakers?
