I want to wish all my Islamic friends a happy holiday. I apologize for ignorance of the Islam. I don't know what the holiday celebrates or entails. But enjoy the day or days and the time with your family.

    Smile

A blessed EID to all of my Muslim friends as well. Many wished me holiday greetings and shall I not return the favor in kind? May Allah smile upon you always.

Happy Eid, everyone! I will have to tell my friends in Iraq the same thing . . . Thanks for the reminder! I should find a calendar w. their holidays, too.

I just knew it`s not only for Muslims :^)
My Durzi friend called me, and he said they also celebrate it.
Moreover, it`s the only Eid they celebrate.

Eid-ul-Azha or Eid-ul-Adha is the word used for Big Eid which is celebrated for three days. On the other hand, Eid-ul-Fitr is for Short Eid.

Even though, Eid-ul-Fitr is for only one day but I enjoy it the most - no smell of blood in the surrounding.

Oh okay, sorry I missed the actual meaning. I am a way to sleepy at the moment.

Though I haven't heard "adha mubarak" as well, I think that "adha mubarak" can be used because "adha" is the name of Eid and "adha mubarak" means "Eid Mubarak".

Well, I didn't even know that Muslims had a holiday this time of year anyway...
And I thought eid was the end of Ramadan because that's the time when I heard this word (when there was that big traffic jam for 3 days because all the Muslims were going to that particular area of the city for that...Nighty knows what I'm talking about). So there are many eid's? And why? I need a lesson...
