    Online meeting.

Do you think about it? We set a date and go online.
Maybe we can chat somewhere else - other than MSN for instance.

Or what about a shout box?

I don't get it. Do you mean seeing each other in person? Finally?

Oh alright. I guess we can do that but I think, with all 28,000 members, or just the majority, don't you think confusion will take over? Don't get me wrong; I also want everyone to be on. Then we could be like this! >>

I really wish we could meet in person =( I meet alot of my online friends.
But i`m too far. If I were an imployee who gets a vacation with a ticket or so, I would definitely have gone over.

But Lainy, not all of the 20,000 members will go online xD!

Why don`t we try to fix sth like a java chatroom?

What about a Litnet IRC (internet relay chat) Channel?

Well, I belong to a site that has it's own IRC channel that members and guests can use. One can use a chat client or chat via their browser by utilizing a java applet thingy.

IRC (Internet Relay Chat) provides a way of communicating in real time with people from all over the world. It consists of various separate networks (or "nets") of IRC servers, machines that allow users to connect to IRC. The largest nets are EFnet (the original IRC net, often having more than 32,000 people at once), Undernet, IRCnet, DALnet, and NewNet.
I don't know what setting up a channel entails though and naturally that is something Admin would do.

    No can do.

Check the Litnet forum sub section. Chat room, system wise, can not be moderated.

Actually an IRC channel can be moderated. The channel I use has several moderators who are only moderators in the channel, not the website. The channel and the site are two seperate entities and can be accessed through the site via java (browser) or by using an irc chat client. Together, but seperate.

Really? Wait, maybe I mis-intepreted the post. If the mods are not online, can it be moderated? Maybe thats's the reason
