    Finland

Iīm in Finland now(so I obviously like Finland and am rather biast) and I know itīs not exactley on the top of the world list for literature, but two books that I feel classical represent Finland and are an asset fo any classical library are:

The Kalevala (which is cool for all you Tolkien fans, It plays a major part in his writing)

The Seven Brothers by Alexander Kivi

I am makeing it my mission in life to bring to light the grand accomplishment of Suomi(Finland)
Elä Kon (I might miss spelled that, but it is pronunced elaah cone, with a very think o noise) or Hooray For Finland

P.s I also have no idea how the whole copyright thing works thouhg the Kalevala is so old I canīt imagine that being a problem
    deus ex machina

    Right-ho! here we go

    (ten minute later)

Aargh - a Victorian translation that sets my teeth on edge after ten lines!

Maybe an easier introduction is to be found here:

    Voices mysterious far and near,
Sound of the wind and sound of the sea,
Are calling and whispering in my ear,
    Whifflingpin! Why stayest thou here?
