Cool Hand Luke. First impression = 3/10. A day after watching the movie = 7/10. It, kind of, grew on me.

Touch of Evil ~ Orson Wells

Good movie but it's odd to try and get used to Charlton Heston in such dark makeup. His acting was good and so was everyone else. However, I had seen it before and I got a little bored knowing what would happen. It's a dark film - Noir I suppose. Still it displays the genius of the great movie maker...super angle shots, creative cutting and other inovations of the time.

Also because there are various versions (one with a voice over) it's like a down-beat symphony interpreted by different conductors. Also the score by Vangelis can heard in isolation (and it's a three cd set)

But the last new movie that I enjoyed was a little gem from Italy (unfortunately I didn't write the name down) but it was about two brothers, one who has the talent and potential to be a great director, and how the elder brother's greed, jealousy and selfishness directly destroys the younger's chances of the greater good.

    Brilliant - 10/10

Anyone seen it? I'd love to see it again
You might enjoy some of Vangelis' other soundtracks. He's always been a favorite of mine, along with Kitaro....both dynamic, yet very relaxing. His soundtrack to "Chariots of Fire" is marvelous, too.

I adore the movie "Blade Runner". I would give it a solid 10/10...it never stops amazing me with some of the finer scenes still standing out vividly in my mind. You realise there are two endings as well, don't you? One truly classic sci-fi film for all times!

Sorry, Mystry, I don't know of the other film you speak of, but it sounds good.

The Corporation. A documentary on, well, corporations. A political must see. Very good and scary viewing on where the world is likely to be heading.

Saw "The Green Hornett" on Saturday. It was super funny. About an 9/10 or so because apparently it's pretty different from the old show, but I never saw that so to me this movie was pretty good.

    The Art of the Steal

Shocking movie (biography and history and a lot about the law such as how to break a will; "The Inside Job" movie applied to the art world). It is esp. the Impressionists. A+

The Fighter...8 out of 10... Thought Christian Bale did an excellent job. At times I thought some of the supporting cast, especially, the sisters, bordered on cartoonish. Also saw Black Swan... 9 out of 10. At the beginning I didn't like the jerky camera movements, but then I got used to it and realized that it added to the tension of the movie.

    Don't Be a Menace- 10/10
I think if you make a signature, you should inspire some emotion in someone else. I also think it would be pretentious for me to think I could do that.

Bourne Ultimatum-- I haven't seen the first movie, Bourne Identity, but I enjoyed this anyway. I felt like it was a little lacking in plot, but maybe that's just because I haven't seen the first one. 7/10.
