    Happy Eid !

Its not a new year yet. But its coming quite soon, inshaAllah.

Thanks to everyone that wished us happy Sallah.

    Eid Mubarak!

*feels tired after all the hallahgullah of Eid and this heavy clothing she is wearing*

Wait there is still the evening to go...
I sang of leaves, of leaves of gold, and leaves of gold there grew.

    Asalamualaikum...Eid Mubarak!!!

Thanks to all who have wished us Muslims a Happy Eid, we really appreciate it!

These are some things that I made for Eid yesterday.

Sweets [which we made a few days prior]:
    barfi
    kurma
    goolab jamoon
    fruit cake
    carrot cake
    date squares

    Food [yumm!]:
    tandoori chicken
    sweet 'n' sour shrimp
    roast beef
    curried goat
    curried duck
    curried potatoes & channa
    chicken biryani
    paratha roti
    dhalpuri roti
    curried mangoes

And, of course, in Trinidad, Eid wouldn't be Eid without the vermicelli, which we boil with milk and spices, and we call it 'Sawine' [sah-wine].
