Hard Times

Heh guys. this is my first post. just finished reading Dickens' Hard Times. What did you guys think?(of those that have read it)

I thought the last page (basically the epiloge) was a little hard to understand

I too enjoyed it. As an English major it made me feel good since it favored imagination over just the bare facts.

My biggest complaint is summed up nicely by Ruskin, who said "I wish that [Dickens] could think it right to limit his brilliant exaggeration to works written only for public amusement; and when he takes up a subject of high national importance, that he would use severer and more accurate analysis."

But yeah, it's a pretty cool book.
