I wonder who wrote I Feel The West In You. It was great! I loved the last sentence.
Congratulations to the winner, and to everyone else who gave us the chance to read good short stories.

I sang of leaves, of leaves of gold, and leaves of gold there grew.
congrats to Snowpetal and the other authors!
As always, my voting behaviour was totally random and eratic.
In terms of well-written-ness I liked On Terrapin Pond best but I don't like that genre too much.
I voted for The Swan in the October (?) round, but when I saw it was making the race in the final poll I was seized by an irrational impulse to support the 'underdog' and voted for The Killing Word.
I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say anything, but if I am - oh my goodness! I'm so bowled over, because all the other stories were so good! I only came to this site a few months ago and I think it's wonderful but I've been too busy to post much and so I was so so pleased when my story made it to the final! It actually started life off as the first chapter of a novel I wanted to write, and then discovered that the novel had nowhere to go and the chapter on its own gave a complete story without adding anything further. Anyway - wow. Thanks everyone!
