    On Loss...

    Scared little girl,
    Motherless child.

    Red-rimmed eyes
    And tear-stained cheeks,
    Hiding in the reflection
    Of a grown woman.

    Across the years,
    Their eyes meet.

    And each asks
    Woman/child
    In an echovoice only the
    Other can hear…

"Why was my love not enough?"

It's beautiful,; thank God those mirror images and those echo voices are not publicy visible or audible or what would life be like?
    I'm nobody, who are you?
    Are you nobody too?
    There's a pair of us, don't tell!
    They'd banish us, you know!

    How dreary to be somebody!

Perhaps we'd all be kinder to each other.

I wish! But I'm rather scared it might have just the opposite effect!
