I wandered over here to see what books there were offered, and I am surprised that none of the Emily series is here. It of course was not as famous as Anne of Green Gables, but has anyone read it?

Yes, I read when I was much younger, and I really loved it.
I have read both the Anne of Green Gables series and the Emily of New Moon series and I love them both. They really teach you a lot about growing up. A really fun read (especially if your a girl) and I think Emily should also be included on this site.

The emily series wouldnt be here because unlike some of the anne books they are all still under copyright I think you will find they were published post 1928 ( or whatever the cut off date was )

Thanks for the answer, Nightshade, but it's such a pity!

Yeah, I read those books as well and was sort of mesmerized. Come to think of it, I think next time I'm at the library I'll look at them again.
